Adorable! 3 ingredient frozen yogurt bites are creative treats to share with your sweeties for an easy snack or healthy dessert.
Our family really likes frozen yogurt. One of the kids’ favorite treats is a visit to the self-serve frozen yogurt shop to choose their own combination of flavors and toppings. Actually, this is one of my favorite treats as well. Of course, these trips are not a daily event. What we can enjoy daily are these little frozen yogurt bites.

My kids love frozen yogurt bites. I started keeping a container in the freezer for quick snacks. The small portions mean they can nibble a few at a time and no more half eaten dishes of yogurt on the table.
In addition to being super easy to make, frozen yogurt bites can be customized to use your favorite flavors. The mix is simply yogurt with a bit of jam for color and added sweetness. You can control the sweetness with your choice of yogurt (plain vs flavored) as well as the amount of jam you swirl into the mix.
Tip: Make this a 2 ingredient recipe! Grab a packaged yogurt that comes with a little bit of jam in a separate compartment.
Silicone molds are one of my favorite tools for making healthy eating easier. For instance, I use cupcake liners to freeze homemade pesto into perfectly portioned pucks. Once frozen the pesto slides right out to be stored in a freezer bag. The liners come clean with a quick swish in some warm soap water.
Anyone can make treats that look tempting and professional with silicone molds. The naturally non-stick surface of the molds creates a smooth clean surface on the finished frozen yogurt bites. Small heart shaped molds typically used for candy making, are perfect for making these frozen yogurt bites. Each mold holds about 1-1/2 teaspoons making them perfect for a single bite.
Over-fill the molds a little then use a small offset spatula to scrape away the excess and give the hearts a clean, crisp edge.
- ½ - 1 cup white yogurt (plain, vanilla, coconut)
- 1-2 tablespoons jam
- blueberries, fresh or frozen
- silicon candy mold that hold 1-2 teaspoons
- Swirl 1-2 tablespoons of jam into ½ - 1 cup of the yogurt of your choosing. Do not mix in completely.
- Fill each mold ⅔ full with the yogurt mixture. Add 1 blueberry to each mold, pressing it in slightly. Add more yogurt to each mold, overfilling slightly. Use an off-set spatula or a butter knife to smooth away any excess yogurt and create a clean line over the tops of the molds.
- Freeze until solid, 3 hours up to overnight. Pop out of the mold and store in an airtight container in the freezer.
Yogurt flavors to try: Plain, Vanilla, Coconut, Honey
Jam tip: For best results, use a smooth jam like raspberry or remove any large pieces of fruit before swirling the jam into the yogurt.
